The Town of Granville is a quiet little town nestled along the Monongahela River in West Virginia just a few miles away from the Pennsylvania line.
The town is a class four municipality and is governed by a strong Mayor structure. The Mayor, Recorder and five council members make up the governing body. Town elections are held every two years. The town employs a municipal manager that oversees the day to day operations of the town.
In 2005 Granville was happy to welcome the University Town Centre Shopping plaza. It came with a long list of new responsibilities, however, the town has been able to give back to the residential part of town due to the town centre by replacing sidewalks, planting new trees, adding new park equipment, walking trail, basketball court and creating a soon to be new waterfront park along Main Street.
